Cozy Furniture: Los Angeles Map Side Table

Hasan Agar, the leading designer of Flying Cavalries, has created the idea of the Los Angeles Map Side Table. The UK-based company has recently sent us photos of the masterpiece. According to the name, Los Angeles street map is depicted on a metal surface of the tabletop. After many years of staying in Los Angeles, Agar developed and designed the table as functional and, at the same time, emotionally challenging furniture item. It is highlighted in the product description: “Following the gaps and solid surfaces you get a chance to find yourself in an eye-catching place filled with unforgettable memories whilst sitting in a comfortable chair and enjoying a warm cup of tea. The landmarks of the city are also shown on the metal surface.”

“This exclusive side table is equipped with quirky triangular legs that are made from solid beech and a matte finish. The table has a laser cut surface, covered with a matte powder paint finish. It comes in three different colors: watercolors, black and white. The set looks like a flat-pack assembly with the legs that are easy to screw onto the top”.

We adore laser-cut pattern projects on the floor. What about you?

Elastic Table: Soaring Wood Furniture Floats via Magnets

Luxury is met by science in the floating coffee table made of hovering pieces that seem too unusually, even magically moved back into the initial form when supplied pressure is away.

Like an immense Rubik’s Cube, the original design is created out of a three-by-three form of smaller wooden cubes, queerly (at least at first sight) separated in space. Besides, the identical way as its little cousin, the item is … puzzling. Continue reading
